Mapping Manager

  • Performance Improvements to Mapping Grid to improve the Mapping load times by 70%
  • The Test Specification Tab has been moved next to the Graphical Designer tab to utilize greater UI screen space.
  • The Mapping Statistics section has been moved from its previous location (beneath the mapping grid) to a new pop up screen to improve the mapping grid load performance.
  • Transformation Library: Pseudocode support for various ETL Tools
    • The Mapping Manager’s transformation library has now been extended to document ETL tool specific pseudocode. Using this capability, different projects can use the transformation library and pseudocode specific to a certain ETL tool without the need to use the entire library. ETL tool can be defined specific to a project so only those transformations specific to the ETL tool can be extended to the project.
    • The existing “Pseudocode” column has been renamed to “Informatica Pseudocode” to document the pseudocode specific to Informatica. Pseudocode columns specific to other ETLs can be added dynamically in the application
    • Ability to view the Release Information specific to a Mapping

Metadata Manager

  • Ability to version a metadata environment and use the active version for the mapping management process.
  • Ability to compare two environments for metadata structural changes (Table and Column changes)

Code Set Manager:

  • The new Code Set Manager will provide support for multiple Source Code Set/Environment combination to multiple Target Code Set/Environments.
  • The new CSM will enable the user to select Source Code Set/Environment and corresponding Target Code Set/Environment at the time of creating a new Mapping.
  • Validate functionality is provided to enable the user to view a report of all the Source codes that are not mapped to TARGET Codes. This functionality is provided at the Mapping Grid level.
  • The Publish functionality is provided at the Code Mapping Level which enables Mapping Manager Metadata browser to show only those Code Mappings that are published.
